Questions

Is this an official NISM product?

No. GPT NISM is an independent study platform run by Gyan Prem Tutorials ("GPT"). NISM certification examinations are conducted by the National Institute of Securities Markets, an institute set up by SEBI. Always check nism.ac.in for the current syllabus, pattern, fees and rules.

Are the questions from past NISM papers?

No. The questions are written for this platform from each series' NISM workbook and syllabus. They are not copies of any exam paper or another provider's material.

Which series should I take?

It depends on your role. Mutual fund distributors need Series V-A; people who deal in equity futures and options at a broker need Series VIII; SEBI-registered investment advisers need Series X-A and X-B; research analysts need Series XV. Your employer or SEBI's regulations for your role decide which ones are compulsory.

Is there negative marking?

In most series, yes: 25% of the question's marks for each wrong answer. A few series, such as V-A and XII, have none. Each timed paper here uses its series' rules, and the Exam info page lists them.
